Distillers:Broken Up?
Omg i've seen all over the internet that
The Distillers have broken up? It's not
officially confermed yet but its hard to
ignore since everyone is saying it. Wht do u
all think..

Someone played Drain the Blood on the radio
yesterday and then followed it by saying
"That may be the last you will hear
from The Distillers...". It's a
shame, I think, 'cos they were definately
heading in the right direction with
"Coral Fang".
I guess it might be because Andy Granelli
left the band...I've also seen rumours
that Brody's pregnant on the Internet. | spottyslippers |
ahhh.... sadness. they're one of the few
bands that I like that has a female lead.
this sucks. at least if brody's pregnant,
then theres a chance that they'll get back
together after the pregnancy... that'd be
one cool looking baby, at any rate, it'd

I agree, its a real shame they could have
really gone far but if the reason for the
break up is because of Brody being pregnant
then you can't really conplain, ppls
priorities change. I don't think it has
much to do with Andy leaving coz the band has
kind of had a revolving door policy from day
1, they would just be able to find a new band

line-up following the first album, finding
one new person wouldn't be that

Oh well, she's more than capable of doing
it on her own.

Technically it was Tony and Andy who left
originally, though as it was Ryan who said
that the band had split, I guess you could
say that he has now left too...
He posted this on his MySpace page:
"Well, I'm no longer part of the
life I knew so recently. The Distillers are
no more and it feels like a weight has been
lifted. However, I'll never get rid of the
disgust inside from it all."
It's pretty sad, I think. It sounds as if
they've had an argument. I guess if
someone in the band says that they've
split then they must have done, no matter
what their spokespeople say.
I agree that this probably won't be the
last we see of Brody, though...she was too
much of an icon.

the new album now...hope its good this

Things have actually gone a bit quiet on the
Distillers front since the "broken
up" rumour...I knew she was writing
the album before the rumour came out, but
since then I've heard no more about it.
Though I did read that the band haven't
split up; Ryan has simply left the band.
But, as Andy and Tony left earlier in the
year, surely that makes Brody the only

writing now that shes preggers!! oh well..
since sing sing they have been shit anyway!!!
