Dizzee Rascal is Britains shining light in the hip-hop world. The hip-hop genre is dominated by American artists but Dizzee shows that a British artist can break the mould.
Just 19 years of age, Dizzee is a freestyle king and has the most raw talent out of all the young rappers out there today. He has extraordinary talent both lyricly and in his delivery.
Unlike many rappers out there today, Dizzee listened to all sorts of music. From the grunge beats of Nirvana to Dr Dre and the rest of the American hip-hop stars of the 90s to the UK garage artists such as Mis-teeq and Craig David.
His critically acclaimed debut albulm : "Boy In Da Corner" tore up the charts with three major singles including the fantastic "Jus A Rascal", the party track "Fix Up, Look Sharp" and the love track "I Luv U".
In 2003, Dizzee won the coveted Mercury Music Award and was presented with the "Innovation Award"at the NME awards by Radio 1's top hip-hop DJ, Tim Westwood.
Dizzee is currently building his reputation in the states and has appeared on-stage with Justin Timberlake and N.E.R.D.. Expect to see more from British hip-hop's saviour.
