donell jones grew up in chicago. After involving himself with gang culture, he decided to dedicate himself to music rather than the streets.
He recorded his first album in 1996,My Heart, as a singer/songwriter/producer for La Face Records. With Eward Farell they formed a partnership with La Face. He wrote songs for Usher and other singers.
He released his second album in 1999 three years later, Where I Wanna Be, he had become known as an accomplished songwriter. In 2002 Donell released his third album Life Goes On.
