Saturday, October 24th, 2009 Radio Play I got a chance to have my song Cap and Trade aired on September 12. Steve Kates is the host for the show A Call To Rights which is broadcast every Saturday at 12-1 pm, on KFNX 1100AM, Phoenix. Steve and I met, in Ft Worth. Steve asked me for an on air interview and permission to play the song Cap and Trade. Not only was I pleased but I was very honored to be able to share my thoughts and exercise my freedom of speech in a civil and uninterrupted fashion, with the KFNX listeners. I am waiting for another call from Steve regarding doing some promos and looking forward to possibly writing some music for the show. 912 will be a day to remember. Thanks Steve. |

| Thursday, September 17th, 2009 More time on isound In June 2009, I will have had this site, for two years. What a cool place! I have networked, mostly on myspace. When you look at the results.. and I have spent A LOT of time on myspace, as compared, to very little time networking, on isound.
The isound plays have exceeded 32,000 plays, over 13,000 profile visits, with less than 100 friends, in under 2 years. Honestly, I have put out very little effort, on isound, due to time restraints.
The Myspace site has appx. 45,000 + plays, 52,000 profile views, with over 9000 friends. I can't tell the amount of hours it took, to accomplish all that. I want all the isound artists and listeners, who stop and listen, to know how much I am appreciating them and the isound community. I will be spending more time over here.
So what does this say, about the over all results, concerning the isound Loud Artist package? Personally, I think it speaks volumes. There seems to be more bang, for a buck, on isound.
However, I have had a minimal amount of purchased downloads. I wonder.. is it because people who listen, don't buy them because they can hear the music in its entirety, for free? No... I think it is up to me to drive folks, to buy, through performance, networking, and word of mouth. The fact is the isound site gives us the OPPORTUNITY to sell our work, for whatever we want, with very little cost involved. Isound rocks!!

Hopefully, people will see the value in some of the special pricing going on over here.

El Ey Promotinal Featured Artist of the Month
Current mood: grateful
Category: Music
My sincere thanks to Kathy Ellis of El Ey Promotinal, for her time and gracious efforts, for honoring me as her "El Ey's Featured Artist", for December, 2008. She decided to give me that honor one more time. She opened up the Jan 2009 year by letting me be Artist of the Month honors again! :)
Kathy and I met, through one of my top favorite myspace friends, Siege. These two have shown me so much support I could not begin to thank them. Siege is responsible, for getting Billy Yates a demo of Hey God, which led the song, into production, to be shopped, to industry artist contacts, in specified markets.
Kathy has photographed many well known artists. She is a regular, at all of the NAMM shows, in CA. Not only does she have a great eye, for stage, but she also has a unique eye, for nature.
Go check out her site and tell her Donster sent you. Here is the address to copy and paste into the browser:

If anyone out, in S CA needs help in planning events I hear Kat is gifted at that as well. Thanks to Kat, CJ, Billy, Ira, and so many more of my dear friends, out in San Diego.
Take care,
Donster

| Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 Hey God This tune is a collaboration between one of my best friends and music buddies and myself. Robbie Sulipec is singing on this song and was the inspirational source which started the song. I had the opportunity of adding a line in the first verse, and changing a line in the second verse, and the fourth verse was my conception of where the song needed to go for completion. Robbie and I had heart to heart talk, on what to address, in the fourth verse. This song has gained interest enough to be produced in LA so it can be shopped to artists in the Christian, Country, and Folk markets. If you want to read more about this song please visit myspace page and look for the blog on Hey God. I want to thank Robbie, from the bottom of my heart, for our friendship and his willingness to let me be a part of this song and trusting me enough to try and get it to people who have more contacts, in the industry, than we do. Who knows.. maybe one day the masses may be exposed to this song on a commercial level.
Take care,
Donster
