Dragan Dautovski Quartet was created in July,2000 in Skopje,Macedonia.
This band's basic inspiration is Macedonian music folklore idiom. From depth of the folklore, throuhg the various contemporary music aesthetic elements and styles our goal is to create a synthesis of the traditional i modern. The authentic ambient is captured by traditional music instruments (kaval, pipe, tambura,)
Album "The Path of the sun " resulted from first CD single "Roots and Blossoms".
Members of the Quartet:
-Dragan Dautovski-founder of the band ,composer,multiinstrumentalist on traditional instruments.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Professor of folk instruments: kaval, gajda, tambura.at the University "Sts. Cyril and Methodius.
- In 1992 formed the ensemble "Mile Kolarovski".
- Performed many concerts in Macedonia and abroad. Also this ensemble has recorded a lot of recordings for the National Radio - Television.
- Participation on the music score for the film "Before the Rain," 1994.
- Formed the group DD Synthesis in 1995.
- Production of the second CD of DD Synthesis, present.

Members of the Quartet:
-Aleksandra Popovska-vocal and keyboard; studied music theory and pedagogy at the Faculty of Music in Skopje,Macedonia.During studies performed with a female vocal trio and collaborated with almost all producers in the country. She participated in recordings of over twenty CDs in different music genres. With several group she appeard on many pop music festivals, Eurovision song contests.
Real international career began since 2000, as a vocal and keyboard player in the Dragan Dautovski Quartet, performing in more than fifteen countries worlwide.
Currently finishes her postgraduate studies at faculty of Art in Utrecht.
-Bajsa Arifovska-traditional instruments,Bachelor in Music theory,play more than twenty instruments,founder of the Roma mandolin orchestra " Darhia"in Skopje.
-Ratko Dautovski-percussiion,student of the Faculty of Music art,Skopje,Macedonia.
