| This album was the culmination of Dub Station's song-writing efforts from their formation in 1992 (with original band members Kyle Russell, Rider McCoy, and Charlie Thorpe) through this production of their first album, recorded in the mid-90's under the direction of Tommy Osuna. It features vocalists Skiffy, Mr. B, Shaka Black, and Paul Wayne with a collection of original compositions spanning in content from conscious anthems ("Guns & Ammunition") to ballads ("All About You") and even a boasting toaster: "Early Warning" and a Ganja tune: "Duchess." Shaka's "Tear Drops" and Skiffy's "Zion" have endured as live favorites as the group has transformed over the years in its ongoing effort to showcase fresh talent in the best light. |
