Duncan Sheik was born in 1970 in New Jersey. Since his mother was a single mom, he spent a lot of time with his grandparents. When he was a child, he began to tinker with his grandparents' piano, and later excelled at it. Soon, he began to pester his grandparents to buy him an electric guitar.
When he was in college, he played guitar in a band with Lisa Loeb, but later quit. Then he got a lousy record label. The label procrastinated on making a record with Sheik, so he went to Altantic records, where he got a better deal. With Atlantic Records, Sheik made two album. The first one is self-titled "Duncan Sheik", the second one is titled "Humming"
It is also reported that Sheik indulges in an Egg McMuffin every once in a while. This biographer hopes he doesn't clog his arteries with those juicy grease-bombs.
