'the Voice of Reason' (wallpaper, eggs and cigarettes):
Dyslexic Virgin was created in May of 2004 when Sean Trombley and Kenan Swaim teamed up with John Genier. Their immediate and only goal was to create creative, enjoyable music that still remained intelligent and thought-provoking. They also rely on the inter-play between instruments as opposed to the current trend of 'the louder and heavier it is, the better it's going to sound.' This is very apparent in their current set of recorded songs. Dyslexic Virgin tries to find the middle ground, so many bands lack, between interesting arrangements and over-processed pop/rock. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their self-produced, Full Length CD *coming Soon in 2006.
Sean (vox, guitar, noises):
Our band's sound is different. We had no preconceived Ideas of what our band should sound like. We just started writing songs the way we wanted to and we think that is the best way to write original music. If it is not "popular" or "main stream" that is fine, as long as the music is good and the songs mean something.

What can be said about Dyslexic Virgin that hasn't been said already. What a bunch of losers!! Trivial Pursuit is not that cool..... I'll tell you what's cool. Lil' John and a gas can of Crunk on the VMA's. MTV SUCKS!!!! Eclectic, lack of self-interest, there is no 'I' in team kinda shit. We're like Eric Stoltz in that scene in 'Some Kind Of Wonderful' when Hardy's at the gas station being all 80's bad boy, 'Here's ten for the gas and ten for the look', but then the cool music kicks in and we don't replace your dip-stick, dip-stick.... now that's crunk!! Except we'd gone for Watts at the beginning of the movie cause she was hot and all zipp'd up!!!! word. We're not EMO, we let the good EMO bands handle that. Roy Buchannon would kill you all if he were alive today.
.. Jeff (Drums):
I used to play guitar, but there were too many guitar players around here. With mullets, too. So now I play drums where it is easier to fit in at parties and other social junctures. No talking, all action! I love playing with Sean & John and wearing their fabulous line of oversized clothing. If everything works out in our henious plan with our music, rock n' roll will never be the fucking same again! And I do like candy corn very much still. When you come to our shows, bring food. Love, Jeff-The new drummer! |
