EASTERN WING BAND’S BIOGRAPHY
Eastern Wing Band was formed in 1994 by lead singer, Ricky Myers, performing their first public gig in Carthage, IN. With help from an artist friend in Greenfield, IN, they created the now well-known logo of the eagle’s wing flying east. The very versatile high-energy 5 piece group consists of members with over 30 years experience in the music and entertainment business. Their performance consists of an extensive variety of music, offering ideal entertainment for the country music lovers & line dancers, as well as the good "old rock 'n roll" fans.
For the next two years, Eastern Wing performed at festivals, county fairs, clubs and various private parties around the Greenfield and Indianapolis area, when they accepted their first house gig where over the next 4 years they successfully filled the 2001 Nightclub. In 2000, they moved on to a larger venue as house band for over 5 years, where they had the opportunity to open for Black Oak Arkansas and, in 2003, recorded their first album with the great original “Overheat in a Heartbeat.”
Eastern Wing Band continued to tighten their style, harmonies, and talent through dedicated efforts and remain enthused with learning new material and exploring new challenges. Since 2006, they have produced a second live album and now perform for large venues as well as festivals, weddings, birthdays etc. traveling throughout Indiana and the Midwest.
