| Eleven Days or Rain were formed in 2002. The band came together when Singer/Bassist Tony Dina and Guitarist Mike Wakowiak began writing songs together. Later that same year the two song writers got in contact with Producer/Engineer Jeff Luiff who had recently worked with Janet Jackson. With the help of studio musician Sal Monaco the trio began working on what would be the bands Debut Album “Within”. The band started playing shows throughout the Midwest even landing a show at the Krammer guitar convention in 2003. The band hired on second guitarist Matt Rekart and took the band on the road. That same year the band was awarded “Best New Artist for 2003” – New Metal Magazine, and was also featured in the movie “Haulin or Crawlin” RP Films. It wasn’t until 2004 that the long awaited CD would be completed. In 2004 the band signed a deal with Dark Star Records. The CD “Within” is released Nationwide on May 17th, 2005. Later that same year with the help of Joseph Miller and Howard Rosen who helped launh the career of The Doors, the band is able to get active radio play at several key commercial radio stations throughout the Midwest including:KZLE, KZRC, KZWY, WBXE, WBZX, WBZX, WQAK, KOZE, KJKJ KCGQ and Others. The band will then be considered for a Grammy in the following categories: Song of the Year / Here With Me / from the Within CD. Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group / Here With Me / from the Within CD. Best Instrumental Arrangement With Vocals / Here With Me / from the Within CD. Now with all off this history behind them, Tony Dina and Mike Wakowiak have rejoined with original drummer “Bob Cook” to complete their road ready line up. There is no telling where Eleven Days of Rain will go from here, but with the bands music video “A Day In The Life” now hitting cable and Internet stations worldwide, there’s no doubt you’ll be seeing more from this legendary rock band. |
