It’s been a little more than eight years since the release of .end of story’s self-titled debut EP. Well, the wait for something new is over. After more than a year in production .end of story is proud to give you the long awaited follow-up CD, “.the sonic blueprint”
The new CD is a collection of fourteen amazing songs and was engineered and produced by skot reed and the band. An infinite amount of heart, soul, passion, and enthusiasm is evident in every note. For .end of story, the making of “.the sonic blueprint” was truly a labor of love.
The music is diverse and covers a vast emotional spectrum yet always remains true to the signature .end of story sound. From the heaviness of tracks like “of 6 on 22”, “therapy”, and “catching on” to the ethereal vibe of “playground” and “last day on earth” the band always puts the focus on the groove. That groove is never more evident than in the tracks “stride” and “full circle”. “Full circle” features a long-time inspiration to skot and the band as Ty Tabor of King’s X fame lends a hand on some guitar solos and backing vocals.
“When we let some friends hear the pre-production tracks and saw the gamut of emotions they experienced, we knew we were on to something” says guitarist skot reed. There is no doubt that .end of story is on to something, something fresh and original yet familiar and inviting.
