(e)Shuzo Band has started since 2005. It consists of Kozo Toyota(Irish Flute, Tin Wistles & Low Whistls), Mana Ohkubo(Fiddle), Hirofumi Nakamura(Irish Bouzouki & Irish Guitar) and Sayaka Hirose(Irish Harp & Bodhran), all of them are students of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and its graduate school. It's an instrumental band, which plays mainly Irish music including both cheerful dance tunes and other calm tunes and also sometimes plays Scottish, Swedish and original tunes. The concept of (e)Shuzo Band's play and arrangement is the music that has virtues of Japanese players as well as virtues of Irish traditional music. Though the members are still young, (e)Shuzo Band is highly regarded espesially concerning level of play and arrangement. It is getting a wider and wider range of activities. It is going to release 1st album in this spring.
