In the early ‘90’s Luca Martello and Antonietta Scilipoti, on the ground of previous musical experiences, plan to create a band, influenced by elements of “extreme styles” .
In ’92 the project gets concrete originating Chaos and Technocracy, a band marked with a big live impact and a cool “fat” sound, quite innovative for that period.
As a matter of fact, in the ‘90’s it is unusual to hear bands with female vocals, operating into such an extreme musical context. The band becomes well known in the underground and releases 7” EP’s, a live MCD and plays various live gigs, some of which in Italy, Austria and Germany.
After five years of intense activity, Chaos and Technocracy split-up officially in December ’97, due to line-up and contractual problems.
However the two founder members, availing themselves with their previous experience, decide to create a new band, EVEN VAST.
In summer ’98, Even Vast go record their debut album “Hear Me Out”, which gets released one year later under BLACK LOTUS Records, independent label from Athens (Greece).
After playing some local live gigs, the band records the MCD “Where the trees still speak”, between September and October ’99, released in December 2000, by the German label ARS METALLI and re-released on limited edition picture LP by Belgian act PAINKILLER RECORDS.
EVEN VAST go record their second full lenght album “Outsleeping” between July and August 2001 but before it gets released, the band decides to give birth to a CD single “Dawning Gloom / Scared for the last time” (extracted from the album), which gets released and distributed in Benelux by Painkiller Records, in January 2002.
Thanks to the positive reviews got from Benelux medias, “OUTSLEEPING” album is given under license to bigger label MAUSOLEUM Records and gets released in Europe in Summer 2003.
Further license deals get concrete with other labels in Russia by Irond Ltd and in Brazil by Hellion Records.
After releasing "OUTSLEEPING", the band becomes endorser of well-known Italian factory JIM REED Guitars & Basses.
By renewing the line-up with new drummer and bass player, finally they do renew also their sound, by adding electronic grooves and increasing the dark emotional side of their music.
In end December 2003 EVEN VAST create their own “headquarters”: H-SOUNDSTUDIOS, where they have re-arranged the whole live set.
At the present time the band is working at the third full lenght album.
EVEN VAST’s new style is badly “contaminated” with electro dark influences. Of course, it’s always difficult to describe how the music sounds like with simple words…Best thing to do is listening to it and judge by yourselves: you decide if it’s worthy of your attention or not!
