Faith Evans was born on June,1973, in Lakeland, FL to an African American mother and Italian father. Faith's mother who is also a singer, and her grandparents raised her due to her father not being in her life.
Faith originally rose to fame by singing background vocals and co-writing songs for artist such as Mary J. Blige, Color Me Badd and Tony Thompson. She was married to the great rapper Notorious BIG after just two weeks of dating and remained married until his sudden death in March 1997.
Faith broke through as a solo artist in the mid-90s with her first single "You Used To Love Me" off of her first album self titled "Faith". She has three albums out: Faith, released 8/29/95, the second Keep The Faith, released 10/27/98, and the latest album Faithfully, wich was released 11/6/01. The album Faithfully was nominated for a Grammy.
She is married to her manager, Todd Russaw. Faith has three children: Chynah, Christopher Jordan, and Joshua. She currently lives in Atlanta GA.
