Hailing from Brighton (UK), contemporary New wave popsters Fallen Avatars are Gary Bell and Laura Harding.
Their sound is an intoxicating blend of post-punk guitar pop and soaring melodic vocals from Harding influenced by artists as diverse as The Cardigans and Talk Talk with a little more edge.
Bell was guitarist and principal writer in cult mid-90s band Jumbo who were signed to an indie label and had UK chart releases. He also co-produced on Diamond Gods, a David Bowie compilation album by various artists (Blondie, Hazel O’Connor, Nico) and has written for artists across Europe.
Harding has been a singer/writer performing on the alternative dance scene for several years with 5 dance compilation releases. She’s toured the world performing alongside act such as Girls Aloud and has built a loyal following for her sexy live presence and haunting vocal delivery.
The band has just finished recording their debut EP with top producer Michael Fallon (Protocol, Leanne Rhimes) to critical acclaim.
Their first live promo date takes place at The Ocean Rooms Brighton on the 3rd February 2006 with polished hand-picked help from Tom Swann (Speedway) on bass, synth guru Kingsley Sage (Anemo) and John "Boy Wonder" Williams on Drums. |
