Fast Cakes is the name I now record under. I started writing songs in 1966 and recording in 1972. Early bands included Purity, Adamanta Chubb and Erection. I had some success with punk band Blitzkrieg Bop, releasing three singles and touring with Slaughter & The Dogs, and supporting Ultravox!, Generation X, Penetration, X Ray Spex, Menace & The Damned.
I then joined Basczax who released a single and toured with OMD, as well as featuring on Earcom 2 with Joy Division. Between 1980-86 I played with Makaton Chat, we released an album "Strange Beach" and a single. Other bands I have been in include The Gynaecologists, Viva La Diva, The Skydaddies, Red Sky, The Adenoids Of Gimf & The Curtains.
I built my own studio in 2006 (Imperial Digital), signed a new publishing deal with Millbrand Music, and released my first "solo" album (as Fast Cakes) in September 2007 called "LIVEYOUNGDIEFAST"
