Perfect example of why everyone says girls can't rock.
Hello, my topic says it all! We've got ENOUGH pop chicks out there who thinks they're rockers! Pop punk's new popularity is the reason for all these posers! I don't really have a problem with all those bands actually, because they're not totally new bands, they're a year at least or older. I think everyone coming into the music scene should quit making pop punk because it seems very easy, effortless, and unoriginal now. Today's version of punk is VERY different from the old days of punk... The Sex Pistols, The Ramones... How come there aren't many chicks in the heavy metal, black metal, thrash/speed metal, death metal scene? I'm a girl myself and I've heard LOTS of people saying how girls can't rock, and I have to say, I don't blame them for saying that and I actually agree with it, looking at the state of music now! Fefe makes a perfect example as does Avril (who by the way is doing a completely shitty job of trying to toughen up her image).

| Maybe not effortless but seems pretty damn close. But on another subject, I've enlightened myself w/ some female-included bands such as Otep... and uhh, forgot the rest but they rocked. Yo, person who started the post, I think that
you should shut up. You said it yourself, you
dont play music. I play music, I have a band,
and we play punk rock. First of all, you
didnt invent the defenition of punk rock, so
how would you know who's punking or not.
Fefe is original. Which is why she isnt as
popular as Avril. SHe has her own sound. She
has only been playing the guitar for a good
five years now, and she totattly rocks the
mike. Girls can rock just as good as any
other guy and I think that you should be less
subjective when it comes to judging artists.
As I said, you dont play, so basically, you
dont really have a right to critcise. The day
you pick up a set of drumdticks, or a guitar
pick, I'll lay off. But until
