Hello - thanks for stopping by our site. Five to Midnight started out as a band called Friendly Fire way back in the late 80's - we were barely out of diapers. We were able to accomplish alot on our own as an indie band - toured the UK and everything.
When the (current) war in Iraq started we thought long and hard and decided to change the name of the band. It just didn't feel right to keep Friendly Fire this time around; even though it's what we were called during the first war.
Rock music is pretty much a religion to me - it is as powerful as anything and can be used to do so much good in and for the world.
