From Teesside, North East U.K, the Flaming Mussolinis formed in 1984. They were signed to Portrait(CBS)and released two albums - 'Watching the Film' (1986) and 'Charmed Life' (1987) Also, five singles: 'Swallow Glass' 'My Cleopatra' 'Masuka Dan' 'Girl On A Train' and 'A Different Kind Of Love'.
The band were likened at the time to the anthemic sound of bands like U2, although the Mussolinis had their roots more in early 70s glam and early 80s atmospheric post-punk.
The band split in 1988.
