Biography

Formed in 2004 The Flares were the remnants of an old covers band that had run its course & outstayed its welcome. Putting together a new band pretty quickly they entered the studio late 2004 to record their first EP “Like No Other”. After the release of the CD the band split again due to musical differences, leaving just the two remaining members Mo Brown (Lead Vox & Guitar) & Joey Moffett (Lead Guitar). Determined not to fall by the wayside the two, armed with a Boss digital multitracker kept the flame burning, recording a host of demos and live acoustic songs throughout 2005 & 2006. Due to the response they received online from various reviews and music sites they decided to take it a step further and in early 2007 started to build a home studio to further enhance their recording environment which was completed October 2007. The First two months of this year have been dedicated to writing and arranging songs for a new 12 track album scheduled for release later this year with recording planned for the next few months, exciting times ahead!!!
STOP PRESS !!!! The Flares now split up we uploaded the last few demo's we recorded as tribute to the good days enjoy, cheers for the support!!!

Monday, March 24th, 2008 New Album !!!! We Have just started to record a new 12 track album a couple of weeks ago in our little home studio , The album will feature New Versions of "Holding Out","Changing Man"," "Willing&Able" and "Rockstar" ,a song some of you may have heard a demo version off on our Isound account. Along with the above mentioned we have 8 new tracks which we have been writing and arranging these past two months. Some of The New songs will cover subjects we have never really dealt with before so we are pretty excited about them. One piece of Great news is that our ex drummer has agreed to work on the recordings so we are also excited about that as well. Keep checking back for regular updates on the progress of the recording process
