Foretold evolved in late 2004 with the entrance of Andrew Dugan as vocalist to the existing lineup of members. At that time, Matt Pukach and Eric Pindell were playing guitar, with Aaron Patz at bass. After experimenting with an Acidhead, an Alcoholic and a Mullet-master in the drummer slot, everyone came to their senses. It was “foretold” by Andrew that Matt would eventually be playing drums, and in 2006, it came to be.
In less than a month Matt was caught up to speed and everything began to fall into place. For the first time in nearly 2 years the band felt right and the music really began to take shape into what it is today. With Eric and Andrew concentrating on lyrics and melody, Foretold began writing music at a much faster pace and recorded a 4 track E.P just three months after the transition.
Nine months later, the band had played every major local music venue in the Baltimore area. Recently Mike Kane was added to the lineup as a guitarist and backup singer. Mike added production experience and his connections have allowed the band has played on a TV show against drunk-driving that aired several times weekly in May. In recent months, they have been interviewed several times in the local newspaper, and have repeatedly appeared and received airplay on 98 Rock’s Noise in the Basement program.
Foretold has truly become a band on the cusp of moving into the national spotlight as they plan to tour in the fall of 2007. Currently they are continuing production of their first full-length CD-“Just the Tip”, which is expected to be released in late fall/winter of 2007.
