| Forgiveness was conceived and created in the early 1990's in NYC, by Israeli
artists Alon Cohen and Rea Mochiach. The album blends the ancient Yom Kippur
prayers of the Sephardic Jews with riveting soundscapes of electronic dance
and ambient music. These same prayers have been chanted for 2000 years. The
voices are culled from Jerusalem's finest cantors and the lush, dynamic
sounds created by Alon and Rea are at different points breathtaking,
beautiful, powerful and hypnotic. They managed to truly capture the
intensity of the sacred holy-day and the awe it instills in the penitent.
The record is nothing short of ground-breaking and will remain a classic for
years and years to come.
