About Frank Petruccelli:
Frank Petruccelli is a composer who lives in the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts. He has been one of the leading “de”-composers for fans of Halloween, Gothic / Horror and the Haunted Attraction industry for over eight years. His cinematic soundscapes can be heard around the U.S and parts of Canada.
Frank’s interest in music began around age twelve when his parents brought home a Lowery Organ. He taught himself how to read music and became more and more interested in all types of keyboard instruments. After seeing the original release of the first Star Wars movie, and hearing John Williams score for that movie, he became interested in symphonic music and grew to love the music of such composers as Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, as well as other great film composers such as Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, and James Newton Howard.
During his early high school years he became interested in theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. For the past 23 years he has been involved in both community and professional theater. He has worked with the Haunted Attraction Industry as an actor, performance coach, assistant manager, builder and de-composer. He has worked at Universal Studios in Orlando FL with The Hollywood Horror Make-Up Show and the Alfred Hitchcock Presents Show.
Through these experiences Frank realized the important role music and sound play in affecting you physically, emotionally, and personally. No matter whether it’s a Film, TV Show, Commercial, Theme Park Attraction, or Video game the visual element is only half of what makes it effective, makes it stand out, and makes it memorable. The other half is music and sound.
Frank combines his love for music & sound with his admiration, respect, and enthusiasm for Multi-Media of all types. He creates music with a cinematic approach to enhance ideas and affect the listener on many different levels.
