| The-Front was born out of a ghost town appropriately named Casper, Wyoming in 1998. And while the western plains are rich with aged tales of outlaws and rebellious cowboys, theirs’ is a current day story of perseverance in the wild west. With an exceptional bond to each other and an undying devotion to punk rock and roll, The-Front has become a serious threat to anyone who stands in their way. Expect nothing less than the crash of ‘77-style guitars combined with the melodic growls of an aggressive female vocalist from these no-holds-barred rockers.

Suggested Listening- The-Front
How They Sound: The-Front are a raucous street-punk unit led by feisty, whip-cracking singer Lauren Bayert. The tracks on their self-titled debut will fit perfectly after Joan Jett, but before GBH on your favorite mix tapes.
Why They Matter: Can thousands of Vans Warped Tour attendees be wrong? The band won an AP-sponsored contest to play five dates on last year's tour, attracting fans as diverse as tour founder Kevin Lyman and members of AFI. We've said it before, and we'll say it again: Brody, watch your back!

Rocks Like- Devotchikas, Distillers, Muffs
Not your typical grrrl-punk band, The-Front throw down aggressive songs reminiscent of late- '70s and early-'80s punk while spewing out lyrics ranging form critiques on the current punk scene to the early- '90s comic Tank Girl. Memo To Brody: Watch yr friggin' back!

The-Front - S/T, CD
Early 80's style punk featuring driving guitars and snotty female vocals with equal parts rage and melody. It blows away any girl-fronted bands in recent memory. "911", "Be Your Girl", and "Bloody Ink" will make a fan out of the most jaded punks. The Distillers who? (BN)

The-Front - CD
Upbeat, female-fronted pop-punk, not unlike FABULOUS DISASTER. The best song is "Wyoming" (about their hometown of Casper), which borrows a vocal lick from the GO GOS. The other songs tackle a variety of social issues, including "911", but there's also a love song, "Be Your Girl": "Oh baby I'm a rickenbacher, and boy you're my amplifier". Included on the CD is a music video that you can watch on your computer if you have one. Probably the best band in Casper?(AM)

THE-FRONT-- are a pretty straight-forward rockband, although more driving, and they're really catchy, singing with a good range (female) they're too tough to be a pop band. Real Punk Rock.
