| The band was born in September 2004 in Seattle by Xavier on guitar and Jason Stilley on drums. They were both looking to form a hard rock/stoner band blending the sound of the 70's hard rock bands like Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, AC/DC, and the new breed of 90's stoner rock bands like Kyuss, Fu Manchu, C.O.C., and Spiritual Beggars. After a few months jamming together, putting some tunes down, Tim joined the duo in February 2005. Jason left the band in May 2005 and Mitch Montes came in on drums. The mixing of all the different backgrounds, cultures, musical tastes and generations created a very unique amalgam of sound that powered the new band like rocket fuel. In July 2005, the old name was changed and FUSED was finally born, they revived stronger and louder than before. After a few weeks of playing together with the new line up they decided to go to the studio for the first time, and in August 2005 their first selftittled EP saw the light. There was no turning back now. In October 2005, Curran answered the ad for a guitar player and got the place completing the overall and final sound of the band. Mitch quit the band in November 2005. David Harrison replaced him in January 2006 and the band got back on track again. While getting tighter as a live act during the summer gigs of 2006, they went back to the studio and started recording their second CD with only original material from July to October 2006. A more mature and conceptual idea materialized when "King of the desert" was finally released in november of 2006. Fused went on playing every single stage that they could get around Washington State promoting their latest release while receiving a warm reception from the audience, and some good reviews from overseas. After almost a year and half of being in the band, David Harrison unexpectedly quit the band in May of 2007. In June of 2007 death metal drummer legend David Pinochet temporarily joined the band and took the fusion to a whole new level. The history of the band is still being written... |
