Future Leaders of the World was founded by frontman Phil Tayler when he met drummer Carl Messina, bassist Bill Hershey, and guitarist Jake Stutevoss.
Tayler had been writing songs and looking for a record deal for a long time, but didn't hit it big until he formed the band with these guys. With the help of Mike Flynn, the band was signed by Epic Records in 2003. Their debut album LVL IV (level four) was released in 2004.
The first single off the album, "Let me out", was relatively succesful, and got a lot of radio airplay. Many say that LVL IV is reminiscent of Nirvana's In Utero. Fans of the Future Leaders of the World look forward to the release of their next album. |
