Gaia class themselves as one of the quality bands of the north with quality songs and the best guitarist, drummer and songwriter in the region. Together since 1996 the lads have always had an underground attitude and find the manipulation of the industry a crime against music. The lads initiated BOM which is the most vibrant and cutting edge music collective in the country which runs a monthly unsigned fanzine, run a monthly night for unsigned bands to visit their town, own their own recording and rehearsal studio and also manage BOMfest which in 2005 brought Inspiral Carpets Tom Hingley to headline and in 2006 have invited Senser and ex Hawkwind sax player Nik Turner to play the festival. A band who if were in a city would have been picked up on long ago.
We have never sent demos to record companies or chased deals, we play music for the real reason and are now one of the best psychedelic folk rock bands around.
