PROFILE OF GBEMILEKE. NAME: Daniel Alebiosu. STAGE NAME: "Gbemileke" DATE OF BIRTH: 14th of May. PLACE OF BIRTH: Lagos state. COUNTRY: Nigeria SEX: Male. E-MAIL :westsidemusic_inc@yahoo.com MUSIC GENRE: Nigerian funky juju gospel inspirational in English and Yoruba INSPIRATION: My inspiration is directly from above, (GOD). PROFESSION Music is my profession and thatâ€™s my ministry. RELIGION I am a Christian. I came from a Christian background. HOBBY Singing, dancing, cracking jokes and playing football. BEST FOOD I love African cosines, but I never reject pounded yam and egusi soup. LABEL WESTSIDE MUSIC INC. MY STORY I am the second child and first son in the family of seven. I attended Afolabi primary school Oshodi Lagos from 1980 -1986, I later moved to (Ibere) yewa-north local government area of Ogun state in 1987 for my secondary education but due to financial constraints, I dropped out of school for five (5) years. I later got admission into Asakanran grammar school in 1991. In 1997, I wrote my first school leaving certificate examination. After secondary school, situation in the family was really bad, I had to work on my own to make life meaningful. MUSIC Music is a passion that lives in me. My father used to sing when we are in the church though he didnâ€™t allow me to sing then, he believed I will not concentrate on my studies. I got a job as a field manager in ARCHOLUS NIGERIA LIMITED, at plot 104/105 oyadaran street sabo yaba lagos in 1999. when I got the job, I got the first call from GOD to proclaim his message of love and hope to the world. I ignored it because I was working and making money. Two years later everything started falling apart, I lost my job, no more money, no friend and life became really unbearable. On the 27th of March 2001, I heard the call for the second time in my dream and I was asked to read (job 14 vs.1 and 7). Finally in that same dream, I was asked to stand up and proclaim Gods word. When I woke up in the morning, I told my younger sister about the dreams. As a strong believer, she asked me to fast and pray for three days, which we did together. I saw my Pastor after the third day, he explained everything to me. I picked my pen and started writing songs. I found things difficult so I called my younger ones for help, in October 2003 I had my first recording in the studio. God asked me not to sing any of the songs I wrote. He asked me to write a song titled â€œGBEMILEKEâ€ Which I canâ€™t tell how I wrote it till date That is how GBEMILEKE came into existence. I managed to finish the first seven (7) songs with the assistance of my good friend SUNNY GROOVE. Things didnâ€™t work out as expected so SUNNY GROOVE decided to assist me and we started the production all over. By February 2005, God asked me to finish the album with a song titled (JESU LOLUWA). I give all glory to God almighty for the completion of this album â€œGBEMILEKEâ€ and special thanks to my record label Westside Music ,my super Executive producer Mr Solomon Arueya with his midas touch made all possible,now available world wide. LAST WORD My advice to my fans is that they should believe in the almighty GOD. Because He alone can change all bad situations, he can lift you from grass to grace, no matter who you are, just believe in GOD and you will be UNSTOPPABLE. FOR THERE IS HOPE FOR A TREE IF IT BE CUT DOWN, THAT IT WILL SPROUT AGAIN AND THAT, THE TENDER BRANCH THEREOF WILL NOT CEASEâ€¦Job 14: 1 and 7.
