Since the age of two years old, many knew that Tenishia was destined to be a star.. At this time She had already begin singing in many churches around the Ms Gulf Coast area as well as the Mobile Metro and surrounding area of Alabama... By the age of five ,Tenishia had written her first gospel song which was song by the Mass choir of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Moss Point ,MS.. By this time Tenishia was already known by many in the area as : "The Little Girl, With The Big Voice.."
Her interest and style includes that of : Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Deborah Cox, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and many more.... She also began playing instruments such as : the Piano and Drums as well as the tambourine all in church.... She had been leading songs in the Tot Choir at her Church. By the age of 10, Tenishia had begin traveling around the world alone and with her Church choir singing at various occasions... At twelve She began directing the choir and had become a faithful Musician at Shiloh... In her early teens she started appearing on local TV Shows such As "Praise The Lord Gospel" which aired on a Local Station in the Gulf Coast. She had been on the show a few times both with the choir and with her two sisters., in which they had begun a singing group and included two cousins, and a couple of choir members.. They were known as Sisters in Christ..
By the time Tenishia had reached 21, she had relocated to Florida ,California,Alabama,New Jersey, and Then New York... Now in NY Tenishia has performed at various open mics and many talent showcases in night clubs such as, Rio's, Downtime, Soul Cafe, Club Ivy, Justin's and other Venues where she was discovered by many in the Music Industry. By Moving to NY she had established a few good relationships with a few good people which then gave her the push that she needed to continue reaching her goal as the dynamic vocalist that she is today...
Since her move to NY she has Vocally developed Singing Groups, and has done some backgrounds for various artists.. Some of those artist include that of :Whitney Houston,Bobbie Brown, Angie Stone, Imajin, Her Sanity,Kymani Marley(Son of Legend, Bob Marley),The Marley's,Beenie Man,Various Artist(Reggea &Soca Music Awards),Jazz Legend Jean Carne, and Up-Coming Artist Connie of Universal Records. She also did lead vocals for Father MC's "Feelin It", in which she had arranged and wrote the hook, as well as appeared in the making of the video.. She's also worked with an artist to be released on Gloria Estefan's Label,(Crest Moon Records) by the name of Daniel Renee'.
Recently Tenishia has made Local TV appearances on BCAT(Brooklyn Network) and traveled back to the Gulf Coast to appear on The Mattie Brent Show( Local Network)... She has also had a few of her tunes played on radio stations in Alabama and Louisiana Areas,where she was also interviewed. Tenishia has been in different Talent Shows and Competitions and as we know it Performing is one of her Strong points.She is now Performing at different Churches and events held in the Gulf Coast Are! As Of now Tenishia is in the Process of working on her own Recording Project!~
