Grim Hymn and The Horrors, a group of Okanagan Psychobilly misfits, have etched themselves a home in the interior music scene. They play strong punk anthems mixed with 50s undertones, a pinch of ‘billy and pure rock aggression that’s sure to assault all senses. Quick little punk ditties about a Comatose Cutie, Night of the Living Dead and Vampire Girl, their songs definitely have a theme. Like characters from your favorite horror film; Chopper spanks on the upright coffin bass, Brett Horror rocks his dearly beloved Gretsch, E-Rock slams grave beats while Grim Hymn wails and flails as the front man with a voice of a fallen angel.
Highly entertaining and making waves in the Canadian psychobilly scene, these guys are true performers. They have been influenced from the likes of the Misfits, Ramones, Tiger Army and a long childhood of watching horror movies and B films. Formed one bitter November day, Grim Hymn and The Horrors were ready to take on any demon that may have stood in their way. They have managed to work their way onto the stage with big names like the DOA, Nomeansno ,Alley Dukes ,Big John Bates ,the Deadcats and Bogart with great response. They have a taste for stage blood now so watch out world!! |
