It all started when Bill Baily (Axl Rose) wanted to leave his home town Indiana and start a rock n roll band. As a child he was in choir, and now he is ready to sing professionally in a rock band. Not to mention he was also a piano player and knew a little guitar. One day he met up with his long time friend Jeffery Isbel. (Izzy) Then Axl and Izzy went searching and found two more band members to conclude it. Chris Weber and Johnny Kreis. They decided to name their band Hollywood Rose. This would be their lineup.

Hollywood Rose then went to auditions for record deals to hire them and they got turned down by a few, saying that they were nothing great. Well, after a while Chris and Johnny left the band leaving Axl and Izzy alone. But no need to worry as good fortune awaits them.
Soon after Axl and Izzy hired Saul Hudson (Slash), Michael Mckagan (Duff), and Steven Adler. They would now change the bands name to Guns N\' Roses, and a new lineup is set.

Now Guns N\' Roses was destin for success with this new powerpack lineup. Slash would soon become one of the greatest guitars players on the earth, Axl one of the best frontmen, and Guns N\' Roses one of the best bands!
By 1987 Guns N\' Roses was hired by Geffen records and was ready to release their first studio recorded album. \"Apettite for Destruction\" To this day apettite is still the best selling debut rock album for a band. Their first hit was the song \"Welcome to the Jungle\". The band already gained a good amout of fans at that time. Their next hits on the album \"Sweet Child O\' Mine\" (their biggest), and \"Paradise City\". These three hits alone carried Guns N\' Roses to amazing success. This album also already showed the crazy, unlimited, unpredictable, attitude of frontman Axl, already starting numorous riots and fights. It also showed the bands liking for heroine unfortunatley which gave the critics something to complain about, along with their lyrics, vulgar, and crude. There were also very good things about this album ovecorse. Well, one for all it was a huge hit and just rocked, it showed all there talents but especially new uprising guitar god, Slash. Now it\'s 1988, a year after apettite\'s release. Guns N\' Roses is now ready to release there second studio album with Geffen. \"GNR Lies\" This album featuring four songs from 1986 at a live concert when the band just started with Slash, Duff, and Steven before apettite. The next four songs were new. This album also rose a ton of contriversy with the song \"One In a Million\", saying bad things about blacks, immagrints, and even cops. But everyone missed the real point of the song. It was based on everyday life, what you see in the streets. Guns N\' Roses meant no offense to anyone. And the album cover was of all newspaper articles about the band. Thats why it is called \"GNR Lies\". There was ovcorse one huge hit on this album. \"Patience\", which was a slow ballad that really showed how good of a singer Axl was. Here is the track listing for the album.

Now Guns N\' Roses is one of the biggest rock n roll bands around with tons of fans, and money. But now trouble is about to start. working on their next album Steven Adler was getting to rediculas with his drugs and was fired from the band. Now they hire Matt Sorrum as the new drummer.
It is now 1991 and Guns N\' Roses is ready to release their biggest albums yet. \"Use Your Illusion 1, and 2\". Two sepperate albums both packed with talent and amazing music. But once again another problem. Half way through the albums Izzy leaves the band, because of being fed up with Axl for what nobody really knows. Here is the new lineup.

Now to talk about the huge hits and success of this album. The biggest hit on this album was the classic \"November Rain\", being in the top 5 for most expensive music videos ever made. This song also featured Axl\'s talent of piano, with also having an orchestra in the background of this song. And when it came to these albums, Slash was then considered a guitar god, as he is just amazing. This album also featured huge hits such as the Paul Macartnee remake, \"Live and Let Die\", along with \"Dont Cry\". Then there were the mini hits like \"Dead Horse\", The Garden\", and \"Garden of Eden\".
Then there was \"Use Your Illusion 2\" The huge hits on this album were \"Civil War\", \"Knockin on Heavens Door\", \"Estranged\", and \"You Could Be Mine\". Estranged being another song with a very expensive music video that shows wonderful talent of songwriting and musical talent. The mini hit on this album was \"Yesterdays\". For some reason this album also sold some more copies then \"Use Your Illusion 1\". Here are the tracklistings.

Now after the sales of the illusion albums Guns N Roses was considered a super group with their amazing variety, and depth. These are some of the best selling rock albums of all time.
It is now 1993 and Guns N Roses will release their next album \"The Spaghetti Incident?\", which did good sales but not great. The whole album was remakes of old punk and rock songs. It did have two huge hits though. \"Aint it Fun\", and \"Sinse I Dont Have You\". There was one mini hit which was \"Hair of the Dog\". Here is the track listing.

Guns N Roses toured for one more year 1994 and then the legendary group broke up. Slash and the boys were fed up with Axl because he tried to take over the band, and he wanted to change to a more industrial sound now that all the grundge music was seeping in, when Slash and the boys wanted to stick to classic rock n roll. So there it was, Guns N Roses was over.
Then Slash formed his own band called Slashs Snakepit. By the time he had the songs ready for his album in \'95 Axl asked him if he wanted to come back and use those songs for another Guns N Roses album, but Slash turned him down. They were now officially broken up.
Now it is 2000 and Slashs Snakepit released their last album together. Also nobody heard from Axl since 1999 when they released a live album from 1987-1994. But Axl spoke no news about a band. Then in 2002 at the MTV music awards Axl surprised everyone and appeared with a new band including bucketheader, the former guitar player in Nine Inch Nails. Although the band was excellent everyone including me misses the original Guns N Roses.
Now we\'re at 2004 and Slash and the boys get toether with former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scot Weilend and form Velvet Revlover. This band was very successful in 2004 although nowhere close to what Guns N Roses did. Oh, and the last we heard from Axl was that him and his new band are working on an album \"Chineese Democracy\" to hopefully be released in 2005. Although the original Guns N Roses is gone we still have the memory, the music and the legend of the best rock band in the world GUNS N ROSES!!!
