Halomobilo hailing from Essex, UK, were created from the prime cuts of three very respected local bands, the idea was to create a local supergroup. In late september 2002 the project finally took off and a band started to form. We could go on about how hard the struggle was to bring the band together, but it wasn't...in fact it was very easy, everything fell into place and everyone clicked. Making good songs with good equipment being our only goal.
With being well known on the local scene well before playing, a faithful promoter threw us very good support slots, Snow Patrol and Engerica being a few of the first. This obviously increased our fanbase immensely. All we needed to do now was get a good recording under our belt, so people had something of us to take home with them from gigs.
In 2003 we enlisted the help of producer ... Neak Camp who apart from offering decent recordings at 'friend' prices had also worked with Funeral for a Friend, Hondo McLean and Vero. The recording was done again surprisingly easily and we now had a bullet in our gun.
Back out to the venues, good support slots, good headline spots and even a penultimate placing at a small festival. All this time spent throwing our free cd's at people and again increasing our mailing list. At this time we had movement within the band and a couple of members walked, but still keeping the main heart of the band intact. A couple of new musicians were bought into the band and we were off again. This time recording 'shallow' with a professional looking video to accompany it.
The plan now being to move further in the field, play better venues, record better songs and keep evolving as musically. If asked what we sound like, we would simply say 'a heart felt, commercially acceptable, big sounding rock band'
