Monday, May 12th, 2008 Award for "Best Original Score" Last weekend on May 10th I was given a "Georgie" award for "Best Original Soundtrack" for the music I wrote and recorded as part of the video "Culture Lost and Found" - which won the "Best Film" award at the same event. For the video I created three instrumental tracks in blues and country blues styles.

Now performing under the name "Hardwire Speers", Neil is a singer/songwriter who performs songs of “loss and redemption.” Using a mix of acoustic blues and electric folk, with influences from jazz, rock and country music, Neil creates an intimate and energetic atmosphere for audiences who enjoy performers such as Bruce Cockburn, The Eagles, Eric Clapton and Blue Rodeo. Performing both original tunes and covers from a wide variety of styles, Neil plays both contemplative and upbeat songs.
