HeadDrive was established in 1996. After several line-up changes original member Dan Kresty was joined by Mark Karpinski two years later in 1998. In 2003, HeadDrive was proud to welcome new guitarist
Dan Vezina. Juan Cantu formerly of “After The Calm,” joined the band in 2005, constructing a heavy yet groove orientated sound. The tight knit group that is now HeadDrive has perfected a heavy yet melodic sound with definite commercial appeal.
In August 2003, HeadDrive and In The Eye Entertainment released 1,000 copies of their full length CD, “Under The Skin.” HeadDrive is currently working on enough material for two more full-length albums. In May 2004, HeadDrive and In The Eye Entertainment released 1,000 copies of a limited edition 3 song EP, called “Second Coming.” This dedicated south Florida band has spent many hours rehearsing and developing their unique sound. A sound that stands apart from and above the rest, that is sure to take the music scene by storm.
HeadDrive’s music has been submitted to over 75 radio stations in the east coast. In south Florida, HeadDrive’s music has been in rotation on many radio stations. This band has been on numerous top 30 counts, has had their shows announced and has done countless interviews on these Florida radio stations. HeadDrive also launched a band website in June 2002; www.headdrive.com From May 2004 until October 2005 headdrive.com had just under 100,000 hits. The website still grows in hits everyday. All shows, upcoming events and band news are posted on this website. This band has an email mailing list with more then 120 recipients to notify fans about shows and important band news.
HeadDrive has already established a local following and their goal is to continue making music that expands their ever-increasing fan base. This band’s fan base ranges in age from 13 to 35. HeadDrive has played every rock venue in the South Florida area. HeadDrive has opened for such national acts as: Vince Neil, Seether, The Genitortures and Social Burn They look forward to playing places and venues not yet conquered by HeadDrive. This band strives on creating music for audiences to enjoy and the opportunity to return to quality modern music. |
