Formed in late '99 by singer/guitarist Jimmy, the band had many line-up changes until present day. In summer of 2003, drummer Paco and bassist Lennie joined the band providing a powerful rhythm section and defining the sound as a bursting mixture of early-KISS and Ramones.
With all their heroes coming from the 70s and the 80s, the Highschool Dropouts deliver a highly energetic set made up of juvenile delinquency inspired lyrics, loud guitar sounds and pounding drumming.
During their career the HD put out five 7"s (2 ep's and 3 splits with foreign bands), two full-lenght albums on Wynona Records (Italy) and appeared on several compilations around the world including samplers for American Music Press and Rocksound magazines.
The band toured Italy and Europe and played in famous rock clubs such as Wild at Heart (Berlin), Rockstore (Montpellier), Gaswerk (Winterthur) and 013 Batcave (Tilburg) sometimes opening for bands like All Systems Go! from Canada and Hard-Ons from Australia.
In the year 2005 the band will be working on their 2nd full-lenght effort called "Rivalry", a 10-song album definitely switching the HD's style toward a more rockish sound influenced by bands such as Fu-Manchu and Danko Jones.
