House of pain started off in 1990 , after everlast real name eric shcrody left ice t's ryhm syndicate.The had 3 members everlast lead mc , danny boy back up mc , and dj lethal . Working with prouducers dj muggs of cypress hill , the group were on there way.In 1992 h.o.p dropped there first single jump around.The song became increasingly popular and was a hit , the group now had recognition.The debut album fine malt lyrics became a hip hop /hardcore rap classic.Guest apearances by b-real[cypress hill lead member] , and songs like shamrocks and sheniagans.The groups second single was shamrocks and sheniagans , it was a rock version of the original also on the record.House of pain had a great reletionship with cypress hill , and both were highly succsessful.But it was'nt until 1994 when h.o.p released there 2nd album same as it ever was.This album was more different than fine malt lyrics , in a way it was more darker and heavy.It's first single being 'on point', but there were more great songs.Leading songs like 'who's da man' which had a mean vibe , then 'its not a crime' , saiew , and back from the dead. The album was succsessful.H.o.p started to drift away from soul asassins ,they were still with tommy boy though.The single 'legend' was also released , and became another h.o.p classic.But the final and third lp came in 1996 'truth crushed the earth shall rise again'.They worked with another group of prouducers who helped them with the album, the first single was fed up.But withuot much promotion this album was'nt that big , and 3rd of the 3.After this lp h.o.p broke up.Everlast went solo , danny boy stopped and dj lethal joined limp bizkit. In 1998 everlast sufferd a heart attack which he luckily survived. He then started to write blues and reunited himself with soul assasins . So far he has released two lp 's .Wihtey ford sings the blues and eat at whitey's, later he had beef with eminem.But h.o.p will be always remembered as a tough rough group.And the classic song of jump around is still an all time rap classic.
