IBU, or "Inspired By U" was voted by the music industry as the best R&B Group at the 2004 New York International Music Festival. Hailed as Chicago's most sought-after Asian-American Performing group. WGN Channel 9 called them Chicago's hottest new boy group, and Power 92.3 FM introduced them as "Asians with soul." They have been featured on "Stateside, "Balitang America," and "Sing.Song" on ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel, as well as The International Channel, Hataw Pinoy Television, Cable Access Network, and Fox TV. They have performed from The Bay to the Big Apple. In 2003, they won the state-sponsored Chicago Music Opportunuity Project, was inducted into the Chicago Filipino-American Hall of Fame, and was named the best performing group at the Fil-Am Music Entertainment Awards. IBU has performed 2 years in a row at Chicago's biggest festival, the Taste of Chicago, this year at the FOX TV Stage, and has sung the National Anthem at eight White Sox games this season, including Game 2 of the American League Division series (playoffs). The group has completed four recording projects, including a single, and two compilation CDs, and their recently released their solo album, "Redefined."
