From as far back as he can remember (age 6- 7) Lex Robertson would do almost anything to get his fingers attached to the keyboard of any type of piano. As the years rolled by this obsession evolved into an unrelenting passion. Realising that he had no interest in formal musical instruction, Lex found himself developing his talent in post punk, avant-garde bands - Chit Chat , Tactics, Ancient Greeks and Inside Up. Subsequent to a move to the Blue Mountains he was introduced to a number of artists who improvised live sound in the groups Three Pigs and The Granny Killers. He performed with these ensembles in galleries and cafe's from Katoomba to Bathurst in the mid 90's, introducing the works of Mary Napier & Adrian Symes in April 2006. Another of his projects, Tongue in Cheek Band, performed improvisations at the Victorian Writers Centre in Melbourne to support live drama performance of writers, poets and comedians. He is currently evolving Thin Room Productions and is proudly a current member of Big Squid, Sea Apes and Tongue in Cheek Band.
