Inglewood
Inglewood is a band that was formed in September 2005. Colby and Mike are the lead singers/drummers and Seth the bassist. The lead men have been co-writing and jamming since they were in middle school. Colby started playing the guitar at age 8 Mike started playing at 12. The band’s sound is that of rock n’ roll. Catchy melodies, hooks, and guitar solos aplenty are what you’ll find at an Inglewood show. The band’s personality is sure to entertain, mixed in with funk jams, reggae, acoustic songs, and alternative heart ache songs. There’s sure to be something this band does to captivate your attention.
Seth Hall is the bass “player” he’s a smooth talking country boy from (bum-fuck) Fayetteville, Tennessee. He’s known for talking trash to frat boys and consuming beer. Seth has been playing bass for about 4 years. His influences are from the mighty Eric Wilson of Sublime, Flea, The Allmon Brothers, AC DC, and of course Skynrd. There’s more …
Travis Colby (a.k.a. Rolby Rolbs) the singer/drummer/guitar cutter. This guy was born with music in his veins. Both of his parents are musical talents them selves so it came naturally for little Rolbs. After learning from his father how to shred a guitar into a million pieces he challenged the old man to a duel… of guitars. After his father’s defeat young Rolbs fell into a depression, now we honor his father by using his amp.
That’s not all, when Colby was in eighth grade another student by the name of Mike approached him with a question, “Wanna jam?” ever since Mike and Colby have been playing music, writing songs and bullshitting their lives away until now. “Don’t you see we’ve got a band, a purpose, Inglewood shout it from the roof tops, Inglewood!” -quote source unknown. Anyways you can probably find Travis working in the fine dining industry bussing tables or just bringing joy to someone’s life with his pleasant demeanor. His influences are Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, the Beach Boys, Weezer, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Sublime, Jack Johnson, and a lot more.
Michael Ferrera is the other Singer/drummer. Mike spends most of his days on a ladder painting houses dreaming of the music he’s not playing. Mike was introduced to music, like Travis, from his father. Hendrix, Beach Boys and Hank Sr. were some of the first artists he was introduced to. Within a few years after starting to play violin Mike picked up the upright bass and guitar. Anyways Mike has been influenced by the artists listed above and Weezer, Sublime, The Stones, Everclear, Bob Marley and Spin Doctors and many more There was no looking back he hit the road going from town to town playing small dingy bars getting spit on and laughed at by the drunken masses. When Mike realized his dismal life of musing lonesome dives infested with the world’s excrement didn’t pay off he found Colby and Seth now he walks with pride and dignity. People don’t snicker or spit or even dare look cross in his direction for he is a member of the band Inglewood. And they know this…(sike)
