The Instigators are three brothers - Tony plays bass and sings - Brendan plays guitars and Desi plays keyboard and does some vocals also.
We come from Newcastle in County Down - Northern Ireland
Formerly known as Achilles Heel we used to play live but discovered home recording as a new vehicle for getting our music " In the Air " and have renamed ourselves The Instigators in honour of the fantastic Thunderclap Newman song.
We use Fender and Yamaha instruments and use NTrack for recording and mixing.
Have produced 5 CD's called " Through Space and Time " " The Revolution's Here " " Our gods are gone " and our first concept album " Swimming with Sharks " and our last collection of songs is called " The Barber of Peru "
The Instigators continue to produce high quality music and we have just finished our latest concept album called " The Seventh " which sees the band return to themes covered in the album " Our gods are gone "
" The Seventh Sense " explores ancient Celtic mythology and considers it's relevance to today.
" Something in the Air " is a collection of songs from those albums and it captures that unique blend of melodic rock that is the hallmark of the band.
We are currently working on two projects, " Now what " and " The Children of Lir "
