• Supported COG at The Sands Tavern Maroochydore.
• Supported Thirsty Merc at their Mooloolaba Beach performance.
• Supported Rollerball at The Sol Bar
(Rollerball manager Luke quotes “not many bands who support Rollerball can
pull it off)
• Performed as headline act at the “Moon Festival” in Maryborough.
• Received the most votes in the people’s poll at The Sands Tavern “Groove For Tibet” competition.
• Received the highest vote from judges at the Narangba battle of the bands.
• Rhythm Guitarist and Didgeridoo player Brock Jenson was one of only 12 people world wide invited to the Garma Festival to study Didge in the traditional Yidaki masterclass.
Band Members
Troy Lawrence is classically trained. He has a unique voice and excellent songwriting capabilities. (Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Keyboards)
Brock Jenson provides a solid backing and drives the rock rhythm. Brock also adds guitar effects and his unique didgeridoo style to the Instinct performance. (Rhythm Guitar, Didgeridoo)
Phil Roach was invited to attend the conservatorium of music at 15 years of age. He is fluent in many styles of bass guitar is the foundation of many Instinct songs. (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals)
Jordan Gilmour has been likened by many to Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Instinct are fortunate to have a drummer of Jordan’s capability. He doesn’t just keep a beat, he plays a song within the song
