James Stephenson has been playing his highly original alt. country sound for nearly 6 years now.
At the young age of 15 his musical journey began as he started playing his music around the bars of the north east. A journey which has seen him peform on Austrailian commercial radio and peform mini tours of both Austrailia and Ireland. His sound has been described as "sweet sounding heartfelt alt. country" (Sendo from the living lounge. Noosa fm Queensland 101.3fm) his unique voice and well crafted songs have been going from strength to strength and this year has seen James form his backing band, 'The A-frames'. He did this after his return from a very successful songwriting and gigging jaunt in Austrailia in the winter of 04/05. James has spent sometime this summer in the studio which has accumulated in his debut release 'Today is like any other day' feat. the highly talented A-frames as his backing band.
