British pianist/vocalist Jamie Cullum has already hit it big in the UK, but has yet to be fully discovered in the US. He is on the road to American stardom though, having been featured on VH1's "inside track"
Jamie Cullum's style is one all his own. He combines a lot of jazz with a little rock and pop to make a very unique sound that appeals to many. He has done everything from covering Jimi Hendrix to giving Cole Porter's "I Get a Kick Out of You" his own spin, and that's only on his most recent album!
While earning his degree at Reading University, Cullum recorded his first album "Heard it all Before". He was only 19 at the time, and the album was suprisingly succesful.
Cullum then met jazz bassist Geoff Gascoyne, and was featured on his album "Songs of Summer" playing piano. Cullum's second album "Pointless Nostagiac" was released in 2002.
Finally, Cullum's third and most succesful album to date "Twentysomething" was released in 2003.
Jamie Cullum started playing piano when he was only 8 years old, and boy has it payed off. He is one of the youngest and most fresh talents in jazz, and his unique sound is now being enjoyed by millions.
