I believe, that both Layne & Jerry had a big influence in AIC. The reason why I say that, is because of Jerry's guitar playing, and Layne's vocals. As far as singing goes, Layne beats Jerry by a long shot! | riff_master |
This is the kind of contest that is completely pointless. You can't compare them, it's impossible. Both were equally as important, you couldn't have the band without both. | big-k |
exactly. each were as important as the other, but as for the voice thing laynes is better by miles. i mean miles. he has one of the best voices of all time. although jerrys got a good voice. not the amazing layne thouhg. | CrazyGNRfan |
I believe that without any of the band memeber, Alice in Chains would not have ever been what it was...I am a big fan of layne's and it was so tragic what happened to him, and jerry is so fortunate to still make kick ass music!! | Amberly |
yea. i think we all agree with out layne or jerry alice in chains wouldn't have been alice in chains. layne staley is my all around favorite musicion of all time though. jerry is great though too. both amazingly talented people and really cool guys at that. R.I.P. Layne | CrazyGNRfan |
You can't compare Layne and Jerry, they both influenced the band, but Layne had a better singing voice | Soulcollect13 |
Stayley had more influence but I love Jerry Cantrel's CD. Both are good! | jacchris |
| jerry is the man, layne is the legend. | LifelessDead |
