Born in 1971, into a family of singers it was no surprise that Jesse too, would become a singer. Born into a state of pure talent - Gary, Indiana. A place where the Jackson 5 started a whole era of new music. Jesse followed his own dreanms of becoming a singer, and succeeded.With his first album in 1996 "Jesse Powell", his second album in 1998 "Bout It", his third album in 2001 "JP", and his fourth album "Jesse". All were top notch , and right on point. But one album in particular stood out. "Bout It" reached No.1 on the Heatseekers chart. And the single "You" reached No.2 on the Hot R and B Hip Hop Singles and Tracks.
