| Jim Cook and the Taylormacs was formed when Jim Cook from Inez Kentucky was attending San Bernardino Valley College in California. Jims cousin, Professor Ray Cook was a teacher at the school as was Taylor B.Mckinnon, a retired Air Force Major, and they discovered that all three had a background in country music. Jim had toured the East coast circuit for over eight years, performing with such famous groups as Keith Whitley, and even the great Tex Ritter. JIm was a good friend of the spectacular guitarist Jerry Swallow who led Tanya Tuckers Band for five years. The formed the TaylorMACs band to record songs that they had written, and play dates at local night spots and Veterans halls such as the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. The CDs sell on CDBABY.COM as well as Jims own website kindweb.com/jimcook |
