Jim Morison's full name was James Douglas Morrison. He was born on December 8. 1943 to Clara and Steve Morrison. Clara was a housewife and Steve was a officer in U.S navy.He had a brother Andy and sister Anne.Because of the position of his father in milatery, the family moved often.First they moved from Florida to New Mexico and eventualy to Alexandria, Virginia.Jim graduated in year 1961.After graduation his parents adimantly sent him to St. Pettersburg Jr. college, where he had to live with his grandparents.During the year Jim was tired of living in St. Petersburg so he transfered to Florida state University.He didnt like it eather.So he transfered again in year 1964 to UCLA, where he become a member of a film school.During the week Jim studid hard, but during the weekend he almost always went to Venice Beach to write Poetry.Jim ran in to Ray Manzarek (the doors pianist) on Venice Beach.From that moment Jim decided to create a band (the doors).He found John Densmore(the drummer) and Robby Krieger(the guitarist).The Doors were one of the most popular band on the world.As their fame increased, Jim decided to escape to Paris with his longtime girfriend Pamela.Jim hoped that new atmosphere would allow him to find sense and inspiration for fresh poetry.Jim was found dead in his and pamelas Parisian hotel, he died in the bathtub because of an overdose of an unknown drug.He died on 3 Jully 1971.His body is buried in Pere cementery in Paris.James Douglas Morrison was known as a great American poet and a rock star.
