No less an authority on the subject than the author of the book "Songwriter", Webb's resume includes pop hits from "Wichita Lineman" to "The Highwayman". "Lineman" was one of the so-called cities trilogy that helped establish the career of Glen Campbell (joined by "Galveston" and "By The Time I Get To Phoenix") and "Highwayman" was done by the country supergroup "THE Highwaymen" which consisted of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson. Webb also scored with Linda Rondstadt's "Easy For You To Say", Art Garfunkel's "All I Know" and "The Worst That Could Happen" from The Brookly Bridge. Other hits were either covered or originally done by The Fifth Dimension, Urge Overkill, Tony Bennett, Reba McEntire and actor Richard Harris.
