| Talent has never gone unrecognized for Joe Bonson. With God given vocals along with exceptional harmony from wife, Wendy and Darren Kauffman the group achieved the honor of being selected one of the Top 10 Country Christian Albums of the year in 2001.
Feeling they were ready for more than the success they had already achieved with their album Moving On and after a year of deliberation (and some hard convincing from management), the country gospel group pulled up their roots and has embraced a contemporary country blue grass sound. With the release of their 2003 album Love Train, the group is ready to move forward with a unique style of their own.
Joe Bonson, the group’s lead vocalist, leaves nothing to doubt when it comes to distinctiveness in sound. He always delivers a great live performance and is a crowd pleaser, opening for such artists as Keith Urban, Steve Holy, and T-Graham Brown.
Other achievements include a number one song on the charts for six weeks from their album Men Like That titled ‘Gonna Be Movin’. This album produced three other top cuts that stayed in the CCRB charts for 2001 and half of 2002. One of the three charters was written by Joe and Wendy Bonson. Their writing ability speaks for itself on every album and their fans can’t seem to get enough, always asking for more. The group realizes there is a great market for bluegrass and are working daily toward a goal to deliver those fans “just a little more” and be part of the great experience. |
