| Defining Briscoe
Joey Green, Brian Smith, Ryan Hall, and Noah Garcia make up the charismatic band “Defining Briscoe”. This band can be loosely categorized as a combination of Alt-country, punk and pop rock with soulful lyrics and hypnotic rhythms. This band has been together for 4 years now and they are poised for a run at immortality. This all original band will make you want to stand up and get rowdy no matter where you are from.
“Defining Briscoe” have played with many famous musicians over the past few years. Most notable they opened for Willie Nelson at Beaumont Ranch in 2003. They have also shared the stage with fellow Texas Music acts Bleu Edmondson, Mark Chestnut, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Brave Combo, Speed Trucker, Cooder Graw, Reckless Kelly and Jack Ingram. They were also nominated for Country act of the year in 2003 by Fort Worth Weekly. You might have also heard them on the radio numerous times. This band has played live on such stations like 99.5 The Wolf and 95.9 The Ranch.
Defining Briscoe have many musical influences ranging from Merle Haggard to The Rolling Stones and most things in-between. Joey Green is the front man and songwriter for this band. Shane Hollinger of KSTV/KPIR in Stephenville, Texas had this to say about him: "Joey's music is insightful, intuitive, deep and even sometimes dark. I've watched him grow tremendously over the years to become a wonderful singer and performer. Joey is a wonderful songwriter in his own right." Brian Smith plays drums and is the only other original member of Defining Briscoe. Brian has also played with Stoney Larue and Texas Ride. Ryan Hall is what we like to call a “bassist”. He is not what you would call your run of the mill bass player. He has an unbelievable talent for music and a great concept of arrangement. Noah Garcia is the newest member of the band. Noah and Joey have been friends since they were 2, and it shows on stage. Noah has been a perfect fit for this band and he rounds out an all-star cast of misfits.
